Overview and General Inquiries
For years, FedRAMP has had an open door policy for engaging with our stakeholders. More recently, we have expanded the ways in which we engage with the community. FedRAMP now uses Github discussion boards, we have a Youtube channel where we host our community updates and other FedRAMP relevant recordings, and we have expanded our helpdesk to include forms that will help vendors navigate FedRAMP processes. The material outlined below will help users understand what to expect when submitting requests, updates, forms, and feedback to FedRAMP using any of the Help Desk features found on this site. It is intended to help cloud service providers, agencies, independent assessment services, advisory services, and other users understand our communication processes, what information to provide, expected review timelines, and where to find key resources. Community-First: For general technical or procedural questions, community discussions, and standard process guidance, users are encouraged to check and post on the FedRAMP’s GitHub Community before submitting a Help Desk ticket or emailing info@fedramp.gov. Scope Boundaries: FedRAMP does not provide business, legal, or commercial advice. Submitting complete, accurate, and properly formatted information helps FedRAMP review requests more efficiently and reduces the need for follow-up. Timelines are estimates and may vary based on submission completeness, complexity, and required clarification.
