What qualifies as demand?

The Emerging Technology Prioritization Framework reuses the previously described JAB definitions for demand including these three sources: 1) Current customers, 2) indirect customers, and 3) potential customers. See pages 3-6 of the Emerging Technologies Prioritization Criteria and Guidance under “Breakdown of Demand Categories” for additional details around the accepted demand categories and examples of each. Please note, unlike the previous Joint Authorization Board’s (JAB) demand criteria, CSPs are now required to apply with a minimum of at least 1 current customer or agency partner.
